Introducing Target Beauty Studio A New Premium Retail Concept
Target is preparing to upgrade its Beauty department with the launch of Target Beauty Studio, a new retail concept designed to bring prestige Beauty brands into its stores and online platforms. The company plans to introduce the concept in more than 600 locations initially, with further expansion expected later. This move signals a more refined direction for Target’s Beauty offerings, aiming to create a more premium shopping experience for customers.
A New Chapter After the Ulta Beauty Partnership
The launch of Target Beauty Studio comes after the retailer decided not to renew its partnership with Ulta Beauty, which previously placed shop-in-shop Beauty sections in many Target stores. That collaboration is expected to end in August 2026. By creating its own Beauty concept, Target gains more control over product selection, store layout, and the overall Beauty shopping journey.

More Brands and Premium Beauty Choices
As part of this initiative, Target will introduce over 60 new Beauty brands across categories such as skincare, haircare, fragrance, and cosmetics. The selection will include both well-known global Beauty labels and emerging brands that appeal to modern consumers. By bringing these products together in a dedicated Beauty destination inside the store, Target hopes to offer shoppers a convenient place to explore both everyday essentials and premium Beauty discoveries.
A More Engaging Beauty Shopping Experience
The Beauty Studio will be integrated into Target’s existing Beauty departments rather than operating as a separate shop-in-shop. Redesigned displays, updated fixtures, and clearer signage will highlight trending Beauty products and new launches. The goal is to help customers navigate unfamiliar Beauty brands more easily while discovering products that fit their routines.
Personalized Beauty Guidance for Shoppers
To enhance the experience, specially trained Beauty team members will be available in stores to guide customers. These staff members will offer personalized Beauty recommendations, helping shoppers explore new products and refine their skincare, makeup, and haircare routines. Through this approach, Target aims to turn its Beauty aisles into a more inspiring and supportive environment for customers.
