Dubai Multi Commodities Centre has officially unveiled The Plaza, a large-scale open-air events and entertainment venue located in Uptown Dubai. The new space is designed to become a central hub for live performances, cultural experiences, and community-led events in one of Dubai’s fastest-growing districts.
Overlooking the JLT skyline, The Plaza stretches across 21,000 square metres, offering a flexible, day-to-night destination. Positioned near the SO/ Uptown Dubai Hotel, the venue strengthens Uptown Dubai’s growing appeal as a lifestyle and hospitality destination.
Built for Large-Scale Events
The Plaza can host up to 4,000 guests and is purpose-built for major gatherings. It features a sculptural outdoor stage, a 43-metre high-definition screen, landscaped green lawns, and multi-level terraces that allow for dynamic event setups.
Its adaptable layout makes it suitable for concerts, seasonal festivals, pop-up markets, brand activations, film screenings, and immersive cultural showcases. Organisers can tailor the space depending on event size and format, whether for high-energy performances or relaxed community evenings.

Accessibility has also been prioritised. The venue includes ample parking, easy access routes, and a central New Dubai location surrounded by restaurants, hotels, and social venues. The Plaza is available for private bookings as well, catering to corporate launches, networking events, and community celebrations.
Strategic Event Programming
To ensure a strong year-round calendar, DMCC has appointed 7 Management as the strategic operator of The Plaza. The team will curate a diverse programme of entertainment, blending international acts with local talent and cultural initiatives. The goal is to position The Plaza as a go-to outdoor venue that consistently delivers engaging experiences for residents and visitors alike.
Moonlight Market During Ramadan
During the Holy Month of Ramadan, The Plaza will transform into Moonlight Market, a month-long evening concept celebrating design, food, and culture. Visitors can expect food trucks, retail kiosks, light installations, family-friendly attractions, live mural art, and an open-air cinema under the night sky.
The activation aims to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where families and friends can gather after Iftar, explore creative concepts, and enjoy live entertainment in an open-air setting.
